How many folders for the path will hyperlink work for as one of my links will only go 5 folders into the path and I need it to go 9?

Hi Mark,
I have no way to confirm if there is a limit to the number of folders in the link, I tried it from my side and could access 10+ folders. Would you mind providing a screenshot of your data?

I am trying to create a hyperlink that will open a file in a folder. Given I have the file name in the spreadsheet, I鈥檇 like to use that to identify the marching file name I want to open in the folder.

Hi Mari,
Supposing there is an Excel workbook named "test" saved in a folder (the path to the folder is C:\Users\Win10x64Test\Desktop\new). To create a hyperlink to open this workbook, plesae use the following path: C:\Users\Win10x64Test\Desktop\new\test.xlsx.

hi! I have a Google Drive folder with my coworkers and I want the hyperlink to go to eg "COMPANY > CLIENT > NOVEMBER > OP12547" but when I follow the instructions the hyperlink goes to "COMPANY > CLIENT". Do you have an idea of what the problem is?

Hi. I share a Excel Document on Dropbox with my partner. When she opens it, she has an other file-path and all hyperlinks to the other file dosn't work anymore. Do you know how to handle this the best way? thank you

this is fine if the link is static - can you create a link if the underlying folder is changeing - eg. Marketing Jan 2019 which changes each month? Could you link this to a cell which has a formula for creating the appropriate path?
